I have an antique claw foot bath tub and it came with a seat the fits over the edges. What is it worth?
The seat has metal rails that are formed to the sides of the tub. The seat itself is wooden. It is also adjustable because the metal rails slide on the bottom and can be tightened with wing nuts. I have searched the internet and can not find any info. on it. I want to know what it is worth or at least some more info.
let’s say $600.00, now an explanation. A new claw foot would be around 1500 to 2000, and will have a few modern plumbing features, and will be called a soaking tub. Many ppl like new stuff, and so they are willing to pay, others like the vintage idea, but are prolly going to have your tub re glazed, which will cost several hundred dollars and a great deal of labour to move a tub. So I am staying low on your value, you could decide that it is worth more, if the condition is great, and I will tell you that the seats you describe are really nice, and will help you value. The downside is that the economy is trashed, and the leader of the bad parts are the housing industry. I am a GC, and ppl are not doing much now, as their values drop in double digits.
